Abstract
This paper introduces energy storage technology in Power Grid. Firstly, it briefly expounds the significance and value of energy storage technology research in Power Grid, analyzes the role of it. Then this paper introduces various types of storage technology such as superconducting magnetic energy storage, super capacitor energy storage, sodium sulfur battery, lithium ion, flow battery technology, and discusses their advantages and disadvantages. Demands on energy storage technology in Power Grid are also summarized. And it focuses on the research status of energy storage technology in power grid. Finally, both some existing problems and the future development trend of energy storage technology in power grid are presented.
