Abstract
Firstly, the research significance of tooth surface friction is introduced. The difficulties in calculating the friction factor of tooth surface are analysed. Secondly, the current calculation method of the friction factor of the tooth surface is introduced systematically, the method of calculating the friction factor of the tooth surface based on elastohydrodynamic lubrication theory and the method of calculating the friction factor of the tooth surface based on the friction characteristics test of the tooth surface.
