Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to explore the internal relationship between pure mathematics and mathematics research level in institutions, utilizingPython to perform correlation analysis in four areas: total number of publications, funding, journals, and cooperative institutions. Besides, Kruskal Wallis test is used for single factor analysis. The findings reveal that the higher the ranking of scientific research institutions, the more positive correlation between the research level of mathematics and pure mathematics. Moreover, the higher the level of mathematics, the greater the impact of the number of pure mathematics publications and the number of international cooperative publications on their mathematics subject ranking. Finally, we offer five practical recommendations for research institutions wishing to improve the level of pure mathematics research.
