Abstract
In order to study the effect of different slenderness ratio and axial compression ratio on the lateral impact resistance of reinforced steel fiber reinforced concrete columns, the impact models with different slenderness ratio and continuously varying axial compression ratio were established to analyze the lateral impact resistance of the components. The results show that the proper axial compression ratio is helpful to improve the anti-impact ability of the components. Under normal working conditions, columns with a slenderness ratio of less than 6.5 are recommended to not exceed the axial compression ratio 0.6, for columns with slenderness ratio greater than 12, the axial compression ratio should not be less than 0.3. For columns that may be subjected to impact, the slenderness ratio should not exceed 14.
