Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of therapeutic communication on alleviating anxiety and satisfaction with nursing work in unaccompanied patients.Methods 120 patients were divided into experimental group and control group by random sampling,60 patients in each group.All the patients received routine care and general nurse-patient communication.Besides that,therapeutic communication was provided for the 60 patients in the experimental group.Results The anxiety score of patients in experimental group was (32.26 ±8.11 ),it was obviously lower than that in control group(t =3.425,P =0.003).There was statistically significant difference on satisfaction rate ( Z =3.765,P =0.018 ),it was higher in experimental group.Conclusions Therapeutic communication can effectively relieve patients,anxiety,and increase patient satisfaction.
