Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of therapeutic communication in the treatment of gynecological ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. Methods From January to September, 2017, 100 patients with ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome treated at our hospital were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group randomly, 50 cases for each group. The control group were treated with conventional ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome nursing intervention; in addition, the observation group were intervened with therapeutic communication. Before and after nursing intervention, the anxiety (SAS) and depression (SDS) scores, symptom score (SCL-90), Trait Coping Style Questionnaire (TCSQ) score, the total incidence of complications, and nursing satisfaction of patients and their families were compared between these two groups. Results One day before their discharge, the SAS and SDS scores were (30.5 ± 7.6) and (31.8 ± 8.2) in the observation group, which were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The SCL scores of somatization, forced status, interpersonal relationship, hostility, terror, paranoia, and psychoticism were(18.3 ± 4.8), (16.4 ± 4.3), (11.6 ± 3.5), (8.5 ± 2.4), (9.5 ± 3.1), (7.6 ± 2.8), and (13.8 ± 2.5) in the observation group, which were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). The TCSQ scores of positive and negative responses were (33.5 ± 7.3) and (26.7 ± 6.5) in the observation group, which were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions Conventional nursing care combining with therapeutic communication for gynecological patients with ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome helps alleviate their anxiety, depression, and other negative emotions and improve their mental health level of patients, so it has clinical comprehensive application value and importance and is worth for further promotion. Key words: Therapeutic communication; Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome; Anxiety; Intervention analysis
