Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of prospective nursing on the clinical treatment of severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). Methods A total of 92 patients with severe OHSS treated in our hospital from April 2016 to May 2017 were selected and were randomly divided into control group (n=46) and observation group (n=46). The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received prospective nursing intervention. The nursing effect of the two groups were compared. Results The incidence of complications and hospitalization time in the observation group [8.70%, (10.24±5.16) days] were significantly lower than those in the control group [43.5%, (15.74±8.32) days], the treatment compliance and nursing satisfaction (91.3%, 93.5%) were significantly higher than those in the control group (84.8%, 82.6%), with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion Prospective nursing can prevent and reduce the complications of severe OHSS, shorten the hospitalization time and improve patient satisfaction, with significant effect, and is worthy of promotion.
