Abstract

In recent years, integration water supply and integrated drainage models have brought many facilities for urban planning. However, with the continuous increase of the urban population in China, water consumption and sewage discharge also increase rapidly, and the energy consumption of water treatment and environmental pollution caused by the treatment process has attracted people’s attention. Therefore, if the current urban water consumption pattern continues, it will face serious water crises and environmental pollution problems. This prompts researchers to reconsider the sustainability of existing urban water supply and drainage models. To examine the appropriate urban water supply and drainage model for China, this paper systematically reviews the relevant internal and external water supply and drainage models. An urban water supply and drainage model with green and low-carbon recycling is proposed, and the economics of the system is evaluated. This study provides a reference for future exploration of more suitable urban water supply and drainage models.
