Abstract

Based on the idea of salient pole tracking, the paper discusses two methods of high frequency voltage injection which inject rotating voltages and pulsating voltages. It respectively introduces the principle of the rotor position detection in these two methods, and points out the key technologies. The paper applies these two methods for building the simulation models in the vector control system of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) which is without position sensors, and compares with them. The comparative results show that, it is simpler for the structure of control system in the method of high frequency pulsating voltage injection(HFPVI), and the rotor position detection is faster; it is easier to achieve the system of high frequency rotating voltage injection(HFRVI), and performance of static and dynamic speed is better.
