Abstract

A novel ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna with dual band-notched characteristics is proposed. Which based on Complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) structure. The antenna is based on circle patch monopole antenna. This paper introduce the Monopole ultra-wideband antenna etched CSRR structure, and by turning the size of CSRR, it's easily achieved dual band-notched characteristics. As the significant component of wireless communication system, antenna has especially importance on the whole system, also for the development of UWB systems, the research of UWB antennas has the extremely vital significance. In order to avoid the interference of service that work in the UWB band such as WiMAX (3.5 GHz) and WLAN (5.5 GHz) application. It is necessary to design the UWB antennas with band-notched characteristics. Dual band-notched function in ultra-wideband is achieved by corrosion a CSRR structure on the circle radiating patch. The simulated and measured results indicate that the presented antenna has good radiation, ultra-wideband characteristics and has nearly omnidirectional radiation on the pass band. Besides, it is mimic in size and manufactured easily, so it can be applied for ultra-wideband communication. The frequency band of UWB is 3.0∼16 GHz, bandwidth is 13 GHz. Between 3.40∼3.88 GHz and 5.40∼5.91 GHz realize Dual band notched function.
