Representation Factors Behind the Value of Humanism in The Folklore of The Special Region of Yogyakarta

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain the factors behind the character doing humanism values in the folklore of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This research is qualitative research with a content analysis approach. The object of research is the Anthology of Folklore of the Special Region of Yogyakarta published by the Language Center of the Ministry of National Education written by Dhanu Priyo Prabowo. Based on the results of research and discussions conducted on the folklore of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province, it can be concluded that the folklore "Kiai Jegot", "Ki Pemanahan", "Dua Orang Sakti", "Karang waru", and "Ki Ageng Tunggul Wulung" contain factors behind the implementation of humanism values. The factors contained are internal factors (derived from oneself) and external factors (derived from the environment or cultural customs). These factors are illustrated through the actions of the characters in the story.
