Abstract
Abstract Annual Convention The Forty-second Annual Convention of the Association will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, June 16 through July I. Sessions will be held in the Municipal Auditorium with the exception of the Friday evening and the Sunday mass meetings. The mass meeting on Sunday will be held at Herndon Stadium. Speakers It is hoped to have Mr. Charles E. Wilson speak at the Tuesday mass meeting, along with the Administrator who will give the keynote address. Dr. Benjamin Mays and Senator Irving Ives have been invited to speak on Wednesday evening; the Special Counsel and two youth speakers-one Negro and one white-will speak on Thursday evening; Senator Hubert Humphrey has been asked to speak on Friday evening along with the recipient of the Spingarn Medal. Miss Josephine Baker has canceled certain of her engagements in order to be with us on Saturday evening, June 30. Dr. Ralph Bunche and the Secretary will speak at the Sunday mass meeting.
