Abstract
In ancient China, the system of managing religious affairs was a specific product of the system of feudal absolutism in China. This is a system of authorities established by the monarchs of ancient China, and the officials who served in them, who were engaged in the management of religious affairs. It was an integral element of the administrative system of ancient China. Different peoples of Ancient China had their own religious beliefs, which at that time coexisted in parallel. Primitive beliefs coexisted for a long time with later religions. In addition to the original Chinese Taoism, religious teachings from other countries came to China: Buddhism, Islam and Christianity. During the entire period of managing religious affairs under different dynasties, a set of rules for this administration was gradually formed, which meant the regulation of religious life. The religious affairs management system both in the central government and in the localities has evolved from simple to complex, while being combined with the administrative management system and being its integral part.
