Abstract

This work presents an introductory analysis of (not)-place of religion in the curriculum of professional technical and scientific institution. The question we ask is: religion should, or should not take place in the curriculum, on instruction process offered by a scientific and technological institution of education. Assess critically through literature the situation of religion in the curriculum of the Technical Course in Computer Science from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Goias (IFG) - Campus Inhumas. The complexity of the object and the not exhaustive characteristic the research led us much more to raise questions and hypotheses on the subject, than giving answers. We made a brief assessment of the discussions on the changes because it passes education / schooling and the curriculum area in recent years, highlighting the presence of religion in this scenario. We emphasize that we do not discuss in this paper the thorny Religious Education theme in school curricula. What interests us is debating whether religion should be considered in preparing the curriculum of a technical and scientific education institution or, in the case of public education and secular toward the professionalization and acquisition of expertise, religion has not (and should not have) place in the formation process.
