Background: We had performed a study to determine the relationship between shoulder muscle strength and abnormal findings using ultrasonography in Masters swimmers. Abnormal findings were obtained at a relatively high rate, even in shoulders without any symptoms, and no relationship between muscle weakness and abnormal findings was obtained. This study aimed to clarify the relationship between abnormal findings and shoulder muscle strength in collegiate swimmers.
