Abstract

This article discusses a current issue focused on identifying the interdependent relationship between fundamental personality dimensions and emotional intelligence in people with psoriasis. Psoriasis, being a chronic inflammatory skin disease, not only affects an individual’s physical appearance, but can also influence their emotional and psychological state. The analysis of the psychological aspects among adults with dermatological conditions is a relatively new area of research that continues to generate much controversy, so this paper contributes to a better understanding of the close link between dermatological conditions and the psychological component. Given the complexity of the mind-body interactions and the consequences of skin disease at the individual and societal levels, continued research is needed into the phenomenon from the perspective of its psychological repercussions.
