Abstract

Objective To explore the effect on gastrointestinal hormone secretion caused by neonatal HIBD and its significance of correlation. Methods Plasma motilin and serum gastrin concentration were measured by radioimmmunoassay in 67 newborns with asphyxia(including 45 newborns with HIBD and 22 newborns without HIBD)in the 0〜2, 3〜5, 7〜10, and 12〜15 days of the course of disease.According to the clinical manifestations, we divided the asphyxia group into three groups, and compared with the negative control group, then we did statistical analysis. Results ① The blood MTL and GAS concentration of neonatal HIBD increased dramatically during the whole course of the disease(P 0.05).③The blood level of MTL and GAS increased obviously in the groups which are complicated by convulsion, gastrointestinal dysfunction, persistent difficulty in feeding, and decrease more slowly than other groups. Conclusion The HIBD of newborn can cause abnormal secretion of plasma motilin and serum gastrin. The blood level of MTL and GAS has close relationship with the degree of brain injury, gastrointestinal function and the recovery of the disease. Key words: neonate; HIBD; asphyxia; motilin; gastrin
