Abstract
In a plural community, harmony among religious followers is undeniable although in fact there have been many social conflicts with religious nuance in some part of Indonesia. Focus of this research is how the pattern of harmony in Indonesia connected with social dimension does. Finding of this research shows that religious tolerance will grow up when there is a space for dialogue. In social and cultural space discussion among believers will be naturally developed without any coercion. By a local tradition dialog, an ego can decrease indirectly. Even a cloth of religion recognized as identity can be leaved. Keywords : Dialogue, culture, harmony

Summary
Penelitian dilakukan di tiga provinsi, yaitu Jawa Tengah, Bali, dan Kalimantan Barat. Wilayah Jawa Tengah dipilih Kabupaten Semarang, tepatnya Ambarawa; Kabupaten Temanggung, yaitu di Kecamatan Kaloran, Kota Salatiga dan Kabupaten Kudus. Untuk wilayah Provinsi Bali dipilih Kota Denpasar dan Kabupaten Tabanan. Untuk wilayah Kalimantan Barat dipilih Kota Singkawang, Kota Pontianak, dan Kabupaten Sungai Pinyuh. Secara umum metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan teknik pengambilan data melaui wawancara, studi dokumen, dan pengamatan. Data diambil dengan teknik snowball melalui informan kunci yaitu tokoh agama/adat yang berpengaruh. Informasi awal dari informan kunci terus dikembangkan. Data-data yang tidak mendukung fokus penelitian direduksi. Hasil dari proses reduksi data setelah mendapat pengujian derajat kepercayaan (credibility), keteralihan (transferability), ketergantungan (dependability), dan kepastian (confirmability) di sajikan dalam paparan data untuk dianalisa guna mendapatkan kesimpulan
