Abstract

A recursive algorithm is presented for identification of linear discrete time multivariable systems. Use of a canonical representation for state space model minimizes the number of parameters to be estimated. The problem of identification in the presence of noise is solved by instrumental variable approach. The use of m-sequence inputs as instrumental variables simplify the computational problem.
