Abstract

Abstract The main aim of this paper is to present a new method for determinating the fraction of recovery and recrystallization after hot deformation. This method consists of the measurement of stress at characteristic points on relaxation curves and the determination of fractional relaxation. This new method has none of the drawbacks which characterizes the interrupted deformation method and it has been found to be highly suitable for determining recovery and recrystallization fraction diagrams for copper after deformation in the 623–773 K temperature range.
