Abstract

In the presence of HBF 4 · OEt 2, [MoH 4(Ph 2PCH 2CH 2PPh 2) 2] exhibits a remarkably rapid and diverse range of reactions with a variety of small molecules. The crystal structure of the product obtained in the presence of phenylacetylene, trans-[MoF(η 2-PhCCH)(Ph 2PCH 2CH 2PPh 2) 2]BF 4 is reported.
