Abstract

A new scheme for achieving rail-to-rail input to an amplifier is introduced. Constant gm and commonmode removal is obtained by using a single input differential pair and tunable DC level shifters via multiple input floating gate transistors. The feedback circuitry basically fixes the commonmode of the amplifier, resulting in consistent and stable operation for rail-to-rail inputs and a high commonmode rejection ratio.
