Abstract

In this paper, the molecular junction consisting of a nanowire was formed by using silicon carbide (SiC) molecule, which was placed in between gold electrode clips. Then the length of the Silicon Carbide nanowire was altered to obtain the eight number of junction devices. Later, these geometric structures were modeled using the Extended Huckel calculator. Moreover, to obtain the quantum transport behaviors, the Non Equilibrium Green Function (NEGF) was exploited. The current and conductance results were obtained and compared that exhibited the vital impact of varying length of the molecule in electron transport characteristics of these nanowires.
