Abstract
Objective To investigate application safety of chemotherapeutic drugs by nurses in oncology department, and to analyze its influencing factors. Methods By purposive sampling, 12 nurses in the Oncology Department were selected for semi-structured deep interview. The data was settled and analyzed by Colaizziphenomenological approach. Results Four subjects were extracted for the application safety of chemotherapeutic drugs by nurses in Oncology Department, including drug prescription management, drug usage management, safety guarding management, and patients′ safety education management. Conclusions It is necessary for nursing staff to update their knowledge structure, master management knowledge on application safety of chemotherapeutic drugs, and to strengthen communication with doctors and pharmacists, so as to guarantee true medication safety of chemotherapeutic drugs.
