Abstract

Objective To explore the situation and influencing factors of psychological resilience in special nurses of oncology department. Methods By convenience sampling methods, 167 special nurses in oncology department were investigated by the resilience scale and general self-efficacy scale. The data were statistical treated by one-way analysis of variance, Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Results The average score of psychological resilience for special nurses in oncology department were (94.24±12.13) . There were significant differences in psychological resilience of nurses with different educational degree and length of service (t=14.273, 7.963; P<0.05) . The score of resilience was negatively correlated with the score of self-efficacy (r=-0.573, P<0.01) . Self-efficacy can explain 27.1% of the variation of psychological resilience. Conclusions There is still a room for the improvement of psychological resilience for special nurses in oncology department which can be influenced by many factors. Nursing mangers should take effective measures to enhance the level of resilience of nurse in order to improve their working ability.
