Abstract
Abstract Pyroelectricity in Nylon 11, for both α and γ crystal modifications has been studied. The pyroelectric coefficient for α structure shows a sharp maximum at 55°C and disappears at 100°C. The cause of this behaviour may be due to the continuous process of transformation of the α structure into nonpolar γ form. The pyroelectric coefficient of polarized γ structure, is less dependent on temperature.
