Abstract
A new species, Pygmaeococcus giliomeei sp. nov. (Pseudococcidae), is described and illustrated based on specimens collected in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. This species is distinguished from its only congener, P. morrisoni McKenzie, 1960, which is distributed in California (USA), by the presence of numerous multilocular pores, six-segmented antennae, and the absence of ostioles.
