Abstract
Protection of the population from natural, man-made and other emergency situations, civil protection in military conditions is one of the most important functions of the state, which are considered as the process of preserving people's life and health, as well as material and cultural values. One of the important directions of this process is the engineering protection of the population. In this article, the goal of population engineering protection, current problems, organizational principles, measures, development perspectives are studied.
