Abstract

Mental health disorders are one of the psychological problems experienced by humans. Healing methods in modern psychology have been applied, but have not been able to fully touch the soul aspect. This study aims to construct sufi psychotherapy methods with the maqamat of the sufi figure of the archipelago, Abdus Samad al-Palimbani. This article was written based on library research using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the analysis found that the Abdus Samad al-Palimbani maqamat practiced by Sufis is a method of mental healing therapy that can be implemented easily. In addition, this study recommends four levels in the restoration of the human soul, namely first, surrender to Allah (tobat), second, training and education of the soul (fear, hope, zuhud, patience and gratitude), third, strengthening the soul (ikhlas and tawakal), fourth, maintaining and restoring the soul (mahabah and rida).
