Artykuł dotyczy kwestii osobistego doświadczenia, przyjaźni, zaangażowania i zażyłości w etnograficznych badaniach terenowych. Z ich obecnością związane są problemy metodologiczne i etyczne. Autorzy odpowiadają na dwa podstawowe pytania: Czy i w jakim sensie przyjaźń w relacji badacza z badanym jest możliwa? Jaki ma ona wpływ na rezultaty badań antropologicznych?
