Abstract
The article analyses the growing challenges of money laundering, loan defrauding and bribery as forms of economic crime for the Polish banking sector. We learn that the development of technology favours criminals, enabling them to use advanced tools. The need for effective cooperation between the banking sector, law enforcement and regulators is pointed out, suggesting investment in advanced transaction monitoring systems, cyber-security training and constant updates to security procedures.
