Abstract
Nanoparticles are materials with specific size and are widely used in various agro-chemical, industrial, and commercial application, which result in the inevitable release of this material into the environment. Natural processes, such as earth quack and volcanic eruption, result in the synthesis of nanoparticles. In addition, various nanoparticles are synthesized through physical, chemical, and biological methods. The released nanomaterials have differential effects on the growth and development of plant. The alteration in the morphology of plants depends on various factors such as size of nanoparticles, type of nanoparticles, and plant species under consideration. Although lots of works have been carried out to understand the effects of nanoparticles on plant growth, the mechanism, which changes in plants, is still under limited interest. This review basically summarizes the various metabolic aspects on interaction of nanoparticles with plants.
