Abstract
The article analyzes modern systems of automobile route navigation, divided into inertial and satellite systems. Their advantages and disadvantages are considered, including the vulnerability of satellite systems in the conditions of man-made and criminal threats. Promising directions of development are presented, including integration with intelligent transportation systems and improvement of road traffic safety. The functional scheme of the intelligent navigation system is developed, providing a multi-criteria approach to route evaluation and increasing the efficiency of traffic flow management.
