Abstract

Exchange reaction between aqueous solutions and crystals of pyrochlore H 3O MWO 6 ( MNb, Ta, Sb) have been studied quantitatively for the ion pair hydrogen-silver, from a thermodynamic and a kinetical point of view. The rate of exchange seem to be controlled by particle diffusion. Approximate equations of Barrer and Boyd are obeyed. Values of the exchange equilibrium constant and of the interaction energy are given.
