Abstract

The present study evaluates horizontal networks performance supported by the programa redes de cooperacao at rio grande do sul. in spite of its significant contributions to the small business competitive scenario up to this moment, this program’s methodology does not include systematic tools that evidence the evolution of these arrangements. based on this, measurement indicators were developed to evaluate the performance of such networks. With exploratory characteristics, this study was conducted through bibliographic inventory and interviews with the technicians employed by the program. the validity of these indicators was verified through its convergence, organized by rankings. The results suggest that the performance evaluation should be done according to the network structure. In general, future research is suggested in the field, as inter-organizational networks contribute considerably to economy development.
