Abstract

There are four possible 1/ f noise sources in transistors; the two most important ones are recombination 1/ f noise in the emitter space charge region and mobility fluctuation 1/ f noise in the collector current. It is shown that an extension of the Plum-Chenette procedure can discriminate between these possibilities.
