Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of professional groups on the nursing quality management . Methods Totals of 9 nursing groups were established to participate in nursing quality management .One group leader and 2 group members were assigned to each group ,and job responsibilities of group was set up , PDCA circulation method was used to work .Results After professional groups participated in nursing quality management , the nursing quality indicators such as the qualified rate of basic nursing , document writing , disinfection and emergency , critical care and technical operations was improved .From 2009 to 2012, the qualified rate of basic nursing (90.6%, 95.8%,97.2%,98.9%), document writing (93.1%, 95.3%, 97.9%, 99.2%), disinfection(93.7%,95.0%,98.3%,99.2%) and emergency(95.8%, 98.5%,99.6%, 99.8%), critical care(92.5%,94.5%,96.8%,99.0%) and technical operations (93.0%,96.5%,98.9%, 99.1%) was improved year by year , and the differences were statistically significant (χ2 =8.993,7.391, 4.784,6.615,6.584,6.987;P<0.05).Conclusions Basic-level hospitals establishing professional group is helpful to nursing quality continuous and scientific improvement , reduce the stress of nursing management , improve the management efficiency , promote the expansion the deep and the breadth of the nursing quality , improve nurses ’ job satisfaction and reserve nursing management personnel .
