Application and effect of project management in improving the quality of nursing in primary hospitals

Abstract

Objective To explore the application effect of project management in improving the nursing quality management of primary hospitals. Method s Luoding People's Hospital implemented the project management model in nursing management from January 2017 to December 2017. The project management effect was compared with that before the management (2016), including the qualification rate of each item in the special quality inspection of 22 departments and the spot checks. Result s Compared with the results of the 2016 annual inspection before the implementation of the project management, the results of the 2017 annual inspection after the implementation of the project management significantly improved in terms of the quality of the nursing management [(88.00±2.65) points vs.(93.80±0.87) points], the quality of the nursing documents [(86.00±1.46) points vs.(93.50±1.59) points], the quality of basic care and critical patient care [(85.00±1.66) points vs.(93.80±1.11) points], five common methods management quality [(72.80±2.28) points vs.(90.40±1.58) points], disinfection and isolation quality [(82.60±1.80) points vs.(92.70±1.04) points], the quality of nursing teaching and scientific research [(82.00±1.52) points vs.(91.70±1.22) points], the quality of high quality nursing services [(81.00±0.80) points vs.(93.10±1.26) points] (all P<0.01); in the spot checks, the qualification rate of emergency ambulance management (94.32% vs.100.00%), check system implementation pass rate (78.41% vs.98.11%), basic care pass rate (82.39% vs.94.89%), patient satisfaction (85.60% vs.93.50%) significantly improved, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion Project management applied to nursing quality management can effectively improve the quality of care and patient satisfaction, and it is worthy of promotion and application.
