Abstract
Processing methods for whisker-reinforced ceramic composites are investigated which have been developed from known methods used for monolithic ceramics. Techniques for the removal of particulate impurities from whiskers by sedimentation and for mixing whiskers and ceramic powder are described with reference to three types of commercially available whiskers.
