Abstract

This article aims to analyze the procedures of decoding a music score in braille. Accordingly, we analyze the procedures for reading and writing the signs and symbols for notes and rhythm, octaves, intervals and chords, and writing in more than one voice. In addition, we also analyze the opportunities to develop more simplified scores for the early stages of learning. To carry out the research, a survey was conducted of experts in braille music code to verify the strategies used to improve the teaching process of these procedures. The results contribute to the teaching and learning process, as well as the transcription of braille music scores.
