Abstract

The key problems of personnel training for the medical industry in Russia are discussed. This work is based on analysis of the current system of staff training and retraining in the industry, the structure of the medical devices market, survey of employers, and assessment of the educational process given by graduates of Bauman Moscow State Technical University (Faculty of Biomedical Engineering). The weak points of the training process are identified. Proposals for optimization of the educational process with regard to the current and expected market demands are put forward.
