Abstract

Purpose. Characteristic historiographical approaches to evaluating the social the outcomes of Stolypin’s agrarian reform Methodology. Scientific methods were used: analysis and synthesis, comparison, generalization, systematic approach. Results. During the analysis found that most estimates in studies of the Stolypin agrarian reform, prevailing focus on the holistic outcomes, not properly taken into account “time factor”. In this regard, according to the author of this article, the basis for developing an objective approach to the study of the social the outcomes of Stolypin’s agrarian reforms can be put more consistent implementation of the method for applying the absolute and relative criteria for evaluation of the reform. Practical implications. Use these criteria identified in the scientific study would remove many of the issues arising from its investigation, and therefore contribute to a more objective system of representations, reveals the essence of the course of Stolypin agrarian policy of the autocracy and a correct understanding of it. That’s true definition totals Stolypin reforms would implement an integrated approach and to give an adequate characteristic and assessment of how the reform as a whole, and have a specific understanding of the fundamentals of the process that was the basis of Stolypin’s course of agrarian policy of the autocracy.
