Abstract

Abstract Primary trends in superconductive microwave radioelectronics in millimeter-wave (MMW) and submillimeter-wave (SMMW) bands are presented with applications in the fields of (1) the radiometer—a matrix receiving system for passive imaging in the MMW and SMMW bands, (2) the Josephson junction-based MMW and SMMW band oscillators, and (3) the Josephson effect-based devices for weak microwave signals such as the Josephson frequency-meter and spectrum analyzer. The feasibility of realizing the radiometer, and the MMW and SMMW oscillators is discussed. The experimental parameters of the Josephson frequency-meter designed in “Iceberg” follow.
