Abstract

The beginning of lexicographic tradition is located around 16th and 17th centuries. This paper deals with the consideration of verb as a prominent grammatical category in the most representative dictionaries of the period. In fact, the paper analyses the presence of verb both in the macrostructure and the microstructure of dictionaries. In doing so, the verb turns out to be a key which permit us to study the process of creating dictionaries.
