Abstract

By using the method of thermal destruction of metal-containing compounds, a nanomaterial is obtained that includes rhenium-containing nanoparticles stabilized on a surface of microgranules of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The obtained compositions were characterized by methods of transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), electron paramagnetic resonance (ESR), and differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetric analysis (DTA/TGA). The average size of Re-containing nanoparticles is in the range from 5 to 30 nm and depends on the initial metal-containing compounds. Nanoparticles have complex structure and consist of several components: Re, ReO2, and Re2O7.
