Preface

Abstract

First of all, we would like to thank profusely to all the organizers for the success and smooth running of the event The 4th International Conference on Fisheries, Aquatic, and Environmental Sciences (ICFAES) 2022. This conference is hosted by Faculty of Marine and Fisheries of Syiah Kuala University and Co-hosted by Indonesian Association of Oceanologists (ISOI) Banda Aceh Chapter, and Indonesian Association of Marine Scholars (ISKINDO). We invite submissions for the 4th ICFAES 2022 under the theme of “Strengthening Research, Innovation, and Collaboration Towards Blue Transformation”. A “blue transformation” aims to make both the aquaculture and fisheries sectors more sustainable and productive.At the 4th ICFAES 2022, students and researchers with topics on the basics and applications of fisheries and marine are invited to join the conference. This conference cover topics related to the main issues on “Strengthening Research, Innovation, and Collaboration Towards Blue Transformation”. In 2022, Indonesia and many other countries are still facing the COVID-19 pandemic. This pandemic caused travel restrictions as well as gathering activities for offline conference activity.As chairman of the 4th ICFAES, it gives me great pleasure and honor to extend to you all a very warm welcome on behalf of the international conference committee. I wish to take this opportunity to welcome the participants from overseas as the representative of the students, lecturers, and researchers. I also wish to welcome our keynote speakers Prof. Alexander Chong Shu Chien, Mr. Zulhamsyah Imran, S. Pi, M. Si, Ph. D, and our invited speakers, Prof. Li Jun He, Prof. Harunur Rashid, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sukree Hajisamae, Mr. M. Riza Damanik, ST, M.Si., Ph.D., Miss. Adela Hemelikova, M.Sc., Mr. Bima Krida Pamungkas, S.T., Dr. S. Nagaraj, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., and Mr. Ir. Azizon Nurza, S. Pi, MM, MIPR, CPM., for coming to our campus.I hope, this event will serve as a catalyst for strengthening international cooperation on the transfer of knowledge. In addition, I am most thankful for the ceaseless efforts of staff members of the Marine and Fisheries Faculty of Syiah Kuala University including our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Marwan., IPU, and our Dean, Prof. Dr. Muchlisin ZA, S.Pi, M.Sc. ICFAES is an annual Conference, organized by the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries of Universitas Syiah Kuala. Start from our 1st conference in 2018, ICFAES have published 264 papers both from Indonesia and abroad in IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science indexed by Scopus.List of Conference Committees are available in this Pdf.
