Welcome Speech from ChairpersonExcellences, Distinguished Delegates, Ladies and Gentlemen,As chairman of the 1st International Conference on Fisheries, Aquatic and Environmental Science (ICFEAS) of Syiah Kuala University, It gives me great pleasure and honor to extend to you all a very warm welcome on behalf of the international conference committee. I wish to take this opportunity to welcome the participants from Thailand, Malaysia, China and Indonesia as the representative of the students, lecturers and researchers. I also wish to welcome our keynote speaker Ibu Prof. Siti Azizah and our invited speakers Prof. Sarawuth Chesoh, Bapak Wawan Ridwan, Dr. Pengfei Li and Dr. Safri Burhanuddin for coming to our campus. I hope, today’s event will serve as a catalyst for strengthening international cooperation on the transfer of knowledge. In addition, I am most thankful for the ceaseless efforts of staff members of Marine and Fisheries Faculty of Syiah Kuala University including Rector Prof. Samsul Rizal and Dean Prof. Muchlisin.It is gratifying to note that the agenda of the conference covers a wide range of very interesting items relating to the Fisheries especially those directly related to aspects of water and environmental sciences. We at Syiah Kuala University have continued to pursue the Three K’s Kejujuran, keikhlasan, kebersamaan, which in recent years have become common concern of prestigious universities: Honesty, Sincerity, and Togetherness.
