Abstract
We are very pleased to present to you the Proceedings of the International Conference on Chemical Engineering and Applied Sciences (ICChEAS) 2019. With the theme “Strengthening Innovative Chemical Engineering and Applied Sciences in the Digital Age”, this served as a single platform for academicians, researchers and practitioners to exchange information and knowledge, present new developments and research findings, and develop new networking for future collaborations. The conference taking place in Banda Aceh, the Province of Aceh, Indonesia during 23-24 October 2019 was organized by the Chemical Engineering Department, Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia and co-organized by to the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia, the Department of Chemical Engineering of Riau University (UNRI) Indonesia, and Vocational School, Diponegoro University (UNDIP) Indonesia.The event was attended by more than 152 participants consisting 68 presentations coming from chemical engineering and its related fields as well as from applied sciences background, either from Indonesia and overseas. The keynote speeches were delivered by internationally acclaimed professors while plenary speakers are distinguished professors from leading local and international institutions. The technical presenters are well-respected researchers from universities in Indonesia and ASEAN.The conference proceedings consisting selected papers submitted to the conference coming from various universities, research institutes, and industries. After a rigorous review process, where each paper was reviewed by at least two experts, high quality papers were accepted for presentation at the conference and for publication in the proceedings. Through this online Scopus-listed proceedings, we are sharing with you the papers from the ICChEAS 2019.We would like to thank all the authors for their contribution to the conference as well as to the proceedings and also to the keynote and plenary speakers, organizing committee members, reviewers, chairpersons, volunteers, sponsors and all participants who have made the ICChEAS) 2019 a success.Prof. Dr. Abrar Muslim, ST.
