Abstract

With the transformation of global energy structure and the rapid development of industrial technology, research and application in the field of advanced material and clean energy have been increasingly emphasized. As an important communication platform in this field, the 2024 5th International Conference on New Material and Clean Energy (ICAMCE 2024) was held from February 23rd to 25th, 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (hybrid event), which provided an excellent opportunity for experts, scholars, and enterprise representatives from all over the world to present the latest research results, exchange innovative ideas, and explore opportunities for cooperation. This conference brought together many top experts, scholars, researchers, entrepreneurs and technology developers from all over the world. The international participants of the conference are very rich, including senior scholars from Europe, as well as newcomers from Asia and Africa, which together constitute a diversified and energetic international academic atmosphere. The members of the conference organizing committee also reflect a high degree of internationality. The organizing committee includes experts and scholars from Sunway University, Malaysia, National University of Singapore, Singapore, ENSTA ParisTech, France, Tongji University, China, among others. They not only have profound academic background, but also have rich experience in organizing international conferences, which ensures the academic level and international influence of this conference. During the conference, a series of academic presentations and group discussions centered on the conference theme were carried out. Well-known scholars, including Prof. Xinyong Li from Dalian University of Technology, China, Prof. Saidur Rahman from Sunway University, Malaysia, Assoc. Prof. Ching Yern Chee from University of Malaya, Malaysia and Assoc. Prof. CHING KUAN YONG from University of Reading Malaysia, Malaysia acted as keynote speakers and discussed and shared the research progress and future trends in the related fields. Experts and scholars made wonderful presentations and explanations on their own research results, and also actively engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions with other participants to jointly explore new research directions and application areas. In addition to the rich academic exchange activities, the conference also published a high-quality conference proceedings. The proceedings contains many excellent academic papers submitted by the participants on many research directions and latest progress in the field of advanced material and clean energy, including New Semiconductor Materials, Solar Cell Materials, Surface and Interface Science, New Energy Conversion Research, Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology, etc. These papers not only show the research results of experts and scholars in related fields, but also provide valuable references for other researchers.
