Abstract

2020 Workshop on Materials and Engineering in Aeronautics (MEA2020) was held 16-17 October 2020 in Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) in living format using a window between the pandemia waves. This Workshop was held 16 times from 2001 to 2019. Each was attended by over 20 participants who submitted their reports for publishing. The Scientific Committee in 2020 includes:Demidova L.A., professor, MIREA – Russian Technological University, Moscow, Russia;Efremov A.V., professor, Moscow aviation institute, Moscow, Russia;Karpenko A.P., professor, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow, Russia;Korsun O.N., professor, State Research Institute of Aviation Systems, Moscow, Russia;Evdokimenkov V.N., professor, Moscow aviation institute, Moscow, Russia;Nikulchev E.V., professor, MIREA – Russian Technological University, Moscow, Russia;Poplavsky B.K., professor, Gromov Flight Research Institute, Zhukovsky, Moscow Region, Russia;Porshnev S.V., professor, Ural Federal University, Ekaterinburg, Russia;Prutzkow A,V., professor, Ryazan State Radio Engeneering University, Ryazan, Russia;Rogachev G.N., professor, Samara State Technical University, Samara, Russia;Sebryakov G.G. a.m. RAS, professor, State Research Institute of Aviation Systems, Moscow, Russia;Sizykh V.N., professor, Irkutsk State Transport University, Irkutsk, Russia;Tulekbaeva A.K., professor, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, Shymkent, Kazakhstan;Zhelannikov A.I., professor, Zhukovsky Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute, Zhukovsky, Moscow Region, Russia. The participants represented mostly the leading technical universities of Russia. This year the international involvement is marked by the increased number of participants from Republic of Kazachstan. The (MEA2020) Workshop Proceedings include 33 papers, and the scope is actually huge. It covers materials & structure development, aircraft, airships and WIG plans design, pilot interface and pilot state monitoring, studies on aircraft wake vortex, system and control theory, statistical classification. This year we include more papers dealing with quality management and business processes control. In the year 2020 the Scientific Committee’s confirms its traditional position not to limit the creativity of the participants. As a result all the papers are unlike one another and many of them contain original ideas and approaches. That is why our advice to a reader is not to judge the Proceedings by one or two papers but look through the most part of them.On behalf of the Workshop Scientific Committee the scientific editors of MEA2020 Proceedings:Evgeny V. Nikulchev, Dr., Professor of MIREA – Russian Technological University, nikulchev@mail.ruOleg N. Korsun, Dr., Prof., Head of the laboratory, State Research Institute of Aviation Systems, marmottoduo@yandex.ru
